How does the phone-as-controller feature work on XYZ Console?
The phone-as-controller feature lets you use a smartphone as a wireless gamepad for a game running on a desktop, laptop, or TV screen. You open the game on the main screen, scan the displayed QR code with your phone, and the two devices pair over the web in real time using Firebase Realtime Database. The phone renders touch controls and sends input with low latency back to the game session, replacing a keyboard or mouse for most games. A smaller set of games are built for real multiplayer, where up to four phones can join the same room, each controlling their own player. No native app install is needed on the phone.
Do I need to create an account or sign up to play games on XYZ Console?
No account or sign-up is required to play. Visitors can click Enter on the landing page and access the full game library as a guest immediately. Registered accounts (email or Google sign-in via Firebase Auth) are optional and unlock features like personalized game history, saved progress, leaderboard tracking, activity feeds, and live multiplayer room host controls.
